Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Buccaneers Boutique Guest House, I had the pleasure of experiencing their onsite restaurant, which specializes in Italian cuisine. As an environmental scientist, I appreciate establishments that weave sustainability into their operations, and the Buccaneers does this thoughtfully. I opted for a leisurely dinner and selected a homemade pasta dish that pleasantly highlighted local ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with warm lighting that complemented the soft music playing in the background. It was an ideal setting to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal. The breakfast options, while limited, provided a decent start to the day, featuring a combination of continental and buffet-style offerings. I indulged in a simple yet delightful selection of fresh fruit and pastries, albeit wishing for a broader range. One standout aspect was the bar/lounge where the staff cheerfully served a selection of beverages, quenching my thirst with local wines that had a distinct regional character. Those who appreciate culinary innovation in a sustainable setting will undoubtedly find a rewarding experience here.
